Lazarus Clamp started playing together in Leicester, UK, in 1994. They now live in 5 different counties of England.

They make music at the awkward interface between pop (they write songs) and post-rock (the rhythms, dynamics and interplay between instruments are often complex). They employ a relatively spare post-punk aesthetic (‘no props, no frills’).

"Articulate and considered lyrics, softly but precisely intoned, over unexpectedly experimental textures and deconstructed skinny guitar licks, with folksy banjo flourishes and gently lowing strings." SUNDAY TIMES (Stewart Lee)

"A blend of Yo La Tengo, The Evens and fIREHOSE … a forgotten gem … Sulky, brooding
and utterly brilliant." BEARDED
