Just Joking Around is a new original track taken from the same batch of recordings during the making of their latest album, which could not be anything but a tribute to and dealing with the emotional fallout of losing a friend and band-mate. The album’s title “Where We Were Together” is taken from the chorus of Just Joking Around:

“Where have you been for so long,
Go back back to where you were
Where we were together”

Dealing with the pain of loss, and the incomprehensible void left behind. Sumi’s lyrics muse on carrying on her daily life still haunted by her friend calling to her. The song moves from mellow tenderness to an explosive, almost prog-rock guitar solo, a tempo change to a surprising glamrock freekout, and ends abruptly, marking the sudden nature of an unforseen tragedy.

B Lover was originally written for Semin’s other band, garage punk rock outfit Barbie Dolls. The lyrics are a tribute to his mischievous ways and desire to “just let go of worries about the future, buy as much good beer as we wanted to drink, and ride taxis, even to nearby streets. his jokes and tastes are most like those in a B movie with a Type-B personality so we stuck the name B Lover on the song”
