Tokyo indie-pop quartet return with their sophomore album Strange World following 2019’s ‘Tour De Tokyo’. Produced by Kazuto Maekawa (of Electric Eel Shock) at One Heart Studio in Shibuya, Tokyo, and mastered by Matthew Barnhart at Chicago Mastering Serivices.
Strange World features twelve original songs, sung in English and Japanese and written as sonic tonic during the pandemic as an escape and means of transforming the isolation and loneliness into a postive use of excess free time.
Jun and Karin both write and all three take turns singing, but Tsuzumi is undoubtedly the front person switching between drums and bass to allow drummer Karin to sing while Jun is a gifted guitarist. Family and friends were recruited to provide extra instrumentation on Violin, Trombone, Organ and Guiro.
